Start these school holidays
Begin from Monday 21 December 2026 and keep full access until exam day. Time to build skills in the Skills bank before the mocks begin, with buffer for holidays and busy weeks.
Not just a question bank. Half mocks build skills and pace, full mocks build exam stamina, and the Skills bank teaches every skill with a How to page and practice set. Designed by a curriculum and assessment writer.
What number comes next?
Selective schools are meant to choose students on ability, not on what their family can afford.
Sound familiar? You are not alone.
Every section, skill and time limit explained, plus a free diagnostic.
Vic Selective by Learning Design Co. explains the exam section by section: what each part tests, how long it takes and the skills behind every question.
A free diagnostic, then a set 20-week plan.
The free diagnostic shows your child's strengths and the three skills to practise first. Then the program sets the order for you, so your child always knows what comes next. See how it works
Some families spend up to $20,000 on tutoring. This is one price for everything.
No weekly fees and no extra courses to buy. The $20,000 figure was reported by the Sydney Morning Herald in April 2025. Read the article · See pricing
Written by an assessment writer, shaped by students who got in.
Every How to page and question is written by a curriculum and assessment writer, in consultation with students who have been admitted to Victorian selective schools. Your child works at their own pace, and the skill map shows you what's improving without you marking anything.
That is why I built Vic Selective by Learning Design Co.
One fair price for the full program, not thousands over many months.
Every skill the exam tests is named, taught and practised.
A skill map shows exactly what's improving.
'I've seen how much stress the selective process puts on families. This program is my commitment to making it clearer, calmer and open to every family.'
Cindy Huang · Curriculum and assessment writer, founder of Learning Design Co.
I'm Cindy Huang. Over seven years, I've tutored more than 200 students across more than 4,000 hours, many of them preparing for selective and scholarship exams. Alongside tutoring, I write assessments, curriculum and textbooks, and my assessment content has been used by more than 700,000 Australian students.
Tutoring showed me what families go through: the late nights searching for information, the money spent on resources that may or may not help, and the stress children carry into exam day. Assessment writing showed me what good preparation looks like: every skill named and taught, questions built to the standard of the real test, and feedback that shows exactly where to improve.
Vic Selective by Learning Design Co. brings both together. It's my commitment to making the selective process less stressful and more accessible, so a child's chance depends on their ability, not their family's budget.

The Victorian selective entry test for Year 9 has three sections: Mathematics and Quantitative Reasoning (60 minutes), Reading and Verbal Reasoning (55 minutes) and Writing (40 minutes, two tasks). The multiple-choice sections use options A to D. Every mock matches these sections and times.
In weeks 1 to 10, one half mock takes about 1 hour 35 minutes. In weeks 11 to 20, one full mock takes about 2 hours 35 minutes. Add time to review the answers and practise in the Skills bank.
Access lasts until exam day, not just 20 weeks, so there is room to catch up after holidays, illness or busy school weeks. New mocks unlock in order, so nothing is missed.
You can still enrol after 30 January. Your child can do two mocks in some weeks, or focus on the full mocks and their weakest skills in the Skills bank.
If the program is not right for your family, email us within 7 days of purchase for a full refund, no questions asked. This is in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
There are no student accounts and no student data is stored. Results appear on screen during each session, and writing is self-marked, never sent to AI.
